The Big Surprise in the Magnet Tavern Team selection was the Non appearance of former Leicester and Aston Villa striker Julian Joachim. Magnet Tavern manager John Chand "It would be strange for him if he makes The Final, especially as Julian has played at Wembley for Villa. But I have to pick a team from a squad of players, and Julian is one of the players in contention," claimed Chand.Joachim, who Aston Villa signed in a £1.6 million deal in 1996, has over 100 League goals to his name and Scored Two Goals for the Tavern  in the 3-1 quarter-final win over Lebeq Tavern Courage. Both Sides Took the Field at 1-50 pm it was slightly overcast but very warm the Annfield pa System blasting out Music to keep the Crowd happy, The Fans from Both Sides were sitting in the Famous Kop end, both Giving the Teams a Noisy welcome on the Field. The Teams lined up in front of the Main stand and were introduce to Mr  Peter Clayton The Chairman of the FA Sunday Cup Committee.The Game Started with Hetton Kicking towards the Famous Kop end. Hetton were quickly into the Game, Ruddy breaking down the Left wing, the cross brought a save out of the Magnet Keeper Murray. The Hetton Supporters in the Kop End exploded into Life in the 4th Min Gavin Cogdon was fed the ball on the right wing from a Throw Inn he ran along the Bye Line evading a Tackle from Magnet defender  Coulson  and somehow fired the Ball between Magnet Keeper Murray and the Post to put Hetton 1-0 Up. Magnet restarted the Game looking to level the scores, they put the Hetton Defence under pressure Sozzo forcing Hetton Keeper Finch to make a Great save, but in the 9th Minute the scores were level at 1-1 with the Tavern Supporters now celebrating in the Kop end Westley Lewis Cut Inside found Ashley Fuller unmarked he gets to the Hetton Bye line pulls the Ball back into the crowed Box for Josh Sozzo to fire past Hetton Keeper Finch.

The scores level at 1-1 with only 10 Mins on the clock. The Game wide open as both sides look to take the lead. On 20 Mins  the Magnet Keeper Murray make a Great save from Hetton Forward Cogdon, minutes later Hetton Forward Peacock hit the Bottom of the Post .The game flowed form end to end with Magnet Forward Fuller should have done better on  28 mins as his toe poke  was wide of the Hetton post.The Hetton Supporters in Full Voice  as Hetton went Close in the 35 Min Cogdons Fierce Volley  flies into the side Netting. 5 Mins later Ruddy fires wide from 30 Yards .Hetton were not having it all their way as Magnet Forward Hunter fires from 20 Yds Hetton keeper luckily pushes the effort against the post and safely collects the rebound. The First Change of the game on 43 Mins sees Magnet Forward Sozzo replaced by Chris Johnson , Sozzo  feeling an earlier Injury and unable to continue.

The Referee Mr Deadman blows the whistle to bring to an end a very exciting First Half of Football ending at 1-1.Hetton Start the Second Half on fire within 2 Mins Both Ruddy and Cogdon force the Magnet Keeper to make very good saves, Hetton  Manager Bradley Groves  changed to formation for the second Half with  Peacock playing a Lot further forward. On  50 Minutes Peacock  latches on to an excellent through ball from Cogdon, but Magnet Keeper Murray makes a Point Blank save.Hettons Pressure paid of in the 55 min  corner from the right by Capper found Rea , man-of-the-match Rae kept his cool to fire Hetton into the Lead. Magnet Hit back Goodhands Shot is Blocked By  Hetton Keeper Finch on 57 Mins.On 59 Minutes  Hetton Go further Ahead Cogdon  fires at Magnet Keeper Murray who parries the ball into the path of the oncoming Rae who fires the ball into the net to make it 3-1 to Hetton. Magnet make a substitution in the 63 rd Min when Ashley Fuller was replaced By Matt Kennedy, Hetton Forward Curls the Ball over the Magnet Cross bar on  70 Mins  with magnet Keeper Murray well beaten. Magnet looked to pull a goal back 3mins later Goodhand fires from inside the Box  hits a Hetton defender  Massive appeals for Handball but Referee Deadman waves play on.Hetton were now on top and had a Great chance in the 72min Rae received a Pass from Peacock  but Fired wide. Magnet Use their last Substitute when Lovas was Carried from the Field injured, Luigi Rocco the replacement.Hetton also make their first change when Man Of the match Rae was replaced By  Chris Lawther and Calvin Smith replaced the hard working Ruddy. Magnet were reduced to 10 Men when a Stretcher was called for  Brown as Magnet had used all their Substitutes  they were to play the game out with 10 Men.Hetton started to play Possession football to run the clock down, they made another substitution in the  84 Min Cogdon was replaced by Warren Byrne, Hetton were given a shock the battling 10 men gained a Corner on 89 Mins the ball was punched out to full back Mark Coulson who fired an unstoppable Volley from some 20
Yds into the Top Corner Magnet wiould not Give Up , now 3-2 to Hetton the Fourth Official Holds Up the Board to show 4 Mins of added time, Magnet Pushed forward looking to level the scores, from a Magnet Free Kick  the ball was cleared  Sub Chris Lawther  breaks away and a one on one with the Magnet Keeper Fires the ball into the Bottom of the Net to make it 4-2 to Hetton.Minutes later the Ref Blew for Time, the Hetton Supporters in the Kop end  who had sung their hearts out during the game  were dancing and singing.Hetton were presented with the Trophy by Mr Peter Clayton
Hetton’s third Football Association Sunday Cup Final triumph, this shows of their formidable pedigree in the competition in recent years. They were winners of the competition in 2006 and 2008, while last year they were knocked out by Scots Grey, the eventual winners. The premier Sunday Cup competition the Final gave the players the chance to emulate some of the world’s most famous names who have played at Anfield.The Hetton Supporters some 500 sang their Hearts out throughout the Game, the songs carrying around Annfield, the Hetton players once Given the Trophy stood in front of the Kop to show their magnificent Support the  FA Sunday Cup Trophy..

 In the Premier Division Burnmoor Cricket Club Travelled to Ferryhill Wmc in a Typical end of season match, a Goal on  35 min, for Burnmoor  when Jon Caris supplied the through-ball, and Andy Colledge found the net from just inside the box with a well-finished left footed effort., This was not enough as Ferryhill won 2-1,Kelloe Wmc were 3-1 winners at all ready relegated Burnside Wmc, Brandon Bay Horse were 2-0 winners at  Langley Park wmc, Houghton Glendale Travelled to Sedgefield to play the St Edmunds  but the Stronger Home side were 2-1 winners. Newton Aycliffe Wmc were 2-0 home winners Over Sacriston Cricket Club.

In the First Division Houghton Mill All Stars ended a five game losing streak with a fine 2-0 win at home to Esh Winning CC.After twenty minutes Nick Thompson rounded Esh keeper Jamie Robinson after a neat pass from David Hall and Steve Fenn was on hand to knock home Mill's first. This was Fenn's 188th goal for The Mill which moved him into top spot as the clubs all time top goalscorer ending Michael Hall's twenty year reign at number one. After fifty minutes Mill were unlucky not to double their lead when Jamie Parker's close range effort rattled the crossbar.On seventy minutes a David Hall inswinging corner kick was met at the far post by a Steve Fenn header for goal 189 which  sealed the game at 2-0. Gilesgate Moor Hotel were  8-3 winners at Waterhouses Fc, In the Big Washington Derby the Biddick Inn entertained  Washington JFC, it was the JFC who were 1-0 winners.

In the Second Division Chester Osborne and Visititors The Steelers Shared the Points in a 0-0 draw, Sherburn Lambton Arms Lost 4-0 at Durham Bede Lodge, Pelton were 3-2 Home winners over Coxhoe Wmc.Chilton wmc were made to work for their 3-2 away win at Pittington Fc, Bishop Middleham Cross Keys returned to winning ways with a Fine 4-3 win at West Rainton Fc. Ushaw Moor Cricket Club Crashed to a 5-1 away defeat at Sedgefield Black Lion.

In the Third Division Washington Usworth Top Club won 4-3 at Ferryhill Dynamoes, Pelaw Grange Dogs Travelled to Play Sedgefield Net Park as they were missing 5 regular players. If it hadn't been for keeper Wayne Laws it may of reached double figures .

In the Fourth Division Chester Easystreet Fc were 4-3 winners against New Durham Wmc, The Bird Inn beat Quarrington Hill wmc 5-1, Kelloe Davy Lamp and Visitors Framwellgate Moor Wmc shared the Points in a 2-2 Draw, Oxclose Ox and Plough Crashed to a 7-0 defeat at Neville’s Cross Social.

Another superb performance from Burnmoor Cricket Club in their Premier League Home Game against second Placed Sedgefield St Edmunds., Burnmoor defended as a team and took the game to Sedgefield, going 1v0 on 15mins A first-class team goal, finished off by Michael Wright with a left footed conversion from close range, following a James Donnelley pass after some neat one touch football 1v0 to Burnmoor at Half Time 2nd half again Burnmoor started well and created chances, on 60 Minutes a well delivered through-ball from Neil Errington was converted by Lee Wright. A first-class finish with the right foot from 18 yards out, then on 75 mins Jon Caris has hit an over head kick into top corner to make game safe. This Gave Burnmoor Cricket Club a 3-0 Home win.Kelloe Wmc entertained Houghton Glendale Social  and were 2-1 Winners, Bottom Club Langley Park Wmc earned a Point in a 2-2 Home Draw with Newton Aycliffe Wmc.Brandon Bay Horse shared the Points in a 1-1 Draw at Ferryhill Wmc

In the First Division Washington JFC were 3-2 winners at Waterhouses Fc, Chester Hilda Park won 5-2 against Visitors Esh Winning Cricket Club and Fatfield Biddick Inn were 4-2 winners at Sacriston Wmc
 
In the Second Division Chester Osborne travelled to Bishop Middleham Cross Keys to face a resilient bishop team, holding us to a sole Chris Winn goal at half time to go in 1-0, The second half saw middleham run out of steam and let The Osborne take control with another two from Chris Winn, and one each for Mattie Wailes, David Long, Andrew Willcock and Paul Botcherby.The Osborne finishing off 7-0 winners in their push for promotion into division one. Shaw Moor Cricket Club suffered a shock 8-1 defeat at Chilton Wmc.Pittington were 1-0 Home winners over Coxhoe Wmc, Bede Lodge and Visitors Pelton Fc shared the Points in a 2-2 Draw, Sherburn Lambton Arms Crashed to a  7-2 defeat at Sedgefield Black Lion.

In the Fourth Division Chester Easy street were 9-1 winners at Home to Langley Park Rams Head, New Durham wmc Travelled to Ferryhill White Horse and shared the Points in a 1-1 Draw, Framwellgate Moor Wmc were 3-2 Home winners over Durham Garden House this was a close game  Framwellgate  coming out winners 3 2 .The Garden House scoring first Nicky Barker equalised in 15 mins garden house were ahead again Nicky Barker scored just on half time  to make it 2 2 Nicky went on for hat trick after 75 mins this is his 3rd hat trick this season it is his 2nd hat trick in his last 2 games he now has 23 lge goals , Oxclose Ox and Plough lost 2-0 at Quarrington Hill Wmc .Washington Colliery were 6-2 Home winners over Witton Gilbert Wmc.

In the Spennynoor Town fc Sponsored League Cup Sedgefield Black Lion beat Visitors Newton Aycliffe Club 4-2 on pens in the semi final, Level at 1-1 after 90 Mins, then again after Extra Time .Nothing in the game, both teams missed chances, to win the Tie, Newton Aycliffe did have a man sent off very late in extra time, the tie going to penalties with the Black Lion winning 4-2. It looked like Aycliffe rested a number of players and paid the price for underestimating the Black Lion!!

In the Premier Division Last Seasons Champions Kelloe Wmc Travelled To Burnmoor Cricket Club, It was the Home side who took the Lead on 12 Mins Lee Wright supplied the through-ball, and Tim Bowman found the net from outside the area with a tremendous left footed effort.Burnmoor increased the lead 4 Mins Later when Dean McKeon supplied the cross, and Paul Taylor found the net from six yards out with a superb left footed effort..Burnmoor now playing some of their best Football of the Season went further ahead in the 25 Min a first-class left footed finish from six yards out by Paul Taylor, following an opposition error. Tim Bowman claimed an assist..Kelloe Pulled a Goal Back just before Half Time. The Burn moor Keeper Nick Wildes made some great saves in the First Half. The Second Half started for Burnmoor were they left Off in the First Half pressing Kelloe for further Goals, on 75 mins Kelloe were awarded a penalty, but Burnmoor Keeper Nick Wildes pulled off another great save, then on 80 mins the Kelloe pressure has paid off when they scored to make it 3-2 to Burnmmor, On 88 mins Andy hall supplied the cross, and Paul Taylor found the net from just inside the box with a superb left footed effort. This Made the Final Score 4-2 to Burnmoor. It took 19 minutes before the Hetton Lyons Cricket Club scored the first goal of the game in their Home Game against visitors Burnside Wmc , Warren Byrne held of the defender and his shot gave the visiting Keeper no chance (1-0) Calvin Smith made it 2-0 after 36 minutes when he beat the defender and scored from close range. Lewis Dodd’s crept on the score sheet with a curling left foot shot from 20 yds to make it 3-0 and after 44 minutes it was 4-0, Anthony Peacock played a thru ball to Byrne and he chipped the ball over the advancing keeper to get his second goal of the game. The second half and it was one way traffic, on 49 minutes Dodd’s got his second goal of the game with a pass from Byrne (5-0). Substitute Mickey Rae netted 3 minutes later when Calvin Smith played a great thru ball for him (6-0) Chris Lawther made it 7-0 after 64 minutes when he latched on to the ball and beat the defender and the goalkeeper and shot at goal, the defender stopped it but got the goal at the second attempt. Keith Graydon scored the final goal after 71 minutes when Calvin Smith sent a cross in from the left hand side and "Graydon smashed it in to the back of the net 8-0. Sacriston Cricket Club Travelled to Ferryhill Wmc, It was the Cricketers who took the lead on 4 min, a virtuoso solo goal by Richard Hilton, scored from long range with the right foot. It has to go down in the records as a mind-blowing effort. Ferryhill levelled the scores late in the game to make the Final Score 1-1.Pelton Roab entertained Brandon Bay Horse, In the 17 min a flurry of activity in the area led to an Bay Horse error. Luke Kerry took advantage by scoring a clinical right footed goal from close range. 10 Minutes Later a textbook right footed finish from six yards out by Luke Kerry, following an opposition error. Gyan McMillan claimed an assist. This levelled the scores at 2-2; Brandon went further ahead with two Further Goals to Make It 4-2 Pelton scored a further goal On 88 min a well delivered through-ball from Luke Kerry was converted by Ryan Drummand. A fine finish with the left foot from 18 yards out. This made the Final 4-3 to Brandon Bay Horse. Langley Park Wmc were 3-2 winner at Houghton Glendale Social
In the First Division Two of the division one promotion contenders, Gilesgate Moor Hotel and the Washington Arms produced a closely contested exciting encounter that could have gone either way. In the first half the Arms created the most opportunities but it was Gilesgate who came closest to scoring, Andrew Ward's strike from the edge of the box producing a spectacular save from Arms keeper Michael Ramsey. With little between them for the majority of the second half the game looked to be heading for a goalless draw however the Arms upped the pressure for the last ten minutes and grabbed the winner in the eighty seventh minute with a spectacular Daz Green header from a Craig Smith corner.

Fatfield Bick Inn Lost 2-1 at Chester Hilda Park, Washington Jfc Were 1-0 Winners At Esh Winning Cricket Club.

In the Second Division Chester Plough Inn were on their travels to Washington Lambton Village Stand in skipper Ben Lloyd lost the toss and therefore had to kick down the slope in the first half and immediately put pressure on the Lambton Village Inn defence. The Plough's forward line didn’t allow the defence to settle on the ball and were creating opportunities right from the start. Daniel Hill, Joel Baddams and Ben Lloyd all had efforts on target but none troubled the home keeper. It was on the 15th minute mark when the away side did manage to grab the lead when Daniel Hill played in Joel Baddams Who Got To The Ball Before The Lambton Village Inn Keeper, Allowing Him The Easy Task Of Finishing From Close range. Once again the Plough pushed forward and doubled the lead only 5 minutes later following some great work from Daniel Hill who beat his man and shot only to see the ball hit the post and trickle along the line where John Adamson came bounding in and bundled the ball over from 1 yard out. The Plough were now in brimming with confidence and forcing the home side on the back foot when they were awarded a stonewall penalty for handball only ten minutes later. Daniel Hill stepped up to the spot and sent the keeper the wrong way. The Plough Inn were now in total control, however they had goalkeeper Niall Thubron to thank for making a fine save just before half time to keep the score intact. Half Time saw the Plough leading 3-0The second period started pretty much the same as the first half with The Plough forcing Lambton Village back in their own half but were struggling to create any opportunities on a very difficult pitch. The Plough Keeper Nail Thubron was called into action midway through the second half where once again Thubron provided a great save at the feet of the home striker. On the 70th minute mark The Plough Inn got the the goal of the game with some great team play, which finished with Daniel Hill playing in Chris Howey to pull the ball back for Joel Baddams to finish the move off from close range. The Plough Inn finished the game off comfortably to take the points back home with a Fine 4-0 win, Coxhoe wmc had a Fine 11-1 Home win Over Visitors Pittington Fc, Durham Bede Lodge won3-1 at West Rainton and Ushaw Moor Cricket Club maintained a Promotion push with a 3-2 win at Sherburn Lambton Arms. The Steelers lost 6-5 at Pelton Fc.

In the Third Division Bowburn Cooperage drew 3-3 with visitors Washington Uswoth Top Club, Hamsteels Inn Lost 8-3 at Houghton Chilton Lodge. League Leaders Washington Victoria Travelled to Sedgefield Netpark Fc looking to maintain the only team in the League to go all season without Loosing; But the Stronger Netpark side ended the Run with a Fine 3-0 Home win. East Rainton Travellers Rest were 3-1 winners at Pelaw Grange Dogs..

In the Fourth Division Chester Easystreet were made to work for their 6-3 win at Durham Garden House,Ferryhill White Horse were 3-0 winners at Chester Leonards.Kelloe Davy Lamp recorded their Biggest win of the Season winning 10-0 against visitors Oxclose Ox and Plough Inn. New Durham Wmc were 3-0 Home winners over Washington Colliery, Neville’s Cross Social Lost 3-0 at Langley Park Rams Head.Framwellgate Moor Wmc returned to winning ways with a Fine 3-0 Home win Over Handenhold Bird Inn. it was a poor first half the bird should have gone ahead after about 30 mins a miss from 2 yards it wasn’t till just on half time Nicky Barker scored for Framwellgate Moor, The Moor had a better second half and went further ahead on 50 mins Barker again ,Barker completed his hat trick on 60 mins to make the score 3 0 to fram club.

Kelloe win through to Cup Final

Two of the Leagues Premier Sides Kelloe Wmc and Pelton ROAB met at Kelloe in the semi-final Of the Spennymoor Town sponsored League Cup. Pelton Started the First half well, on a real heavy Pitch, within 20 Mins of the start Pelton were Loosing 2-0, Kelloes first from a corner, and then second goal came on the break, great counter attacking football. In the semi Final of the Alan Smith Trophy Two premier Sides met at Sedgefield, Sedgefield st Edmunds entertained Ferryhill Wmc, at the end of Extra Time the scores were still level at 2-2, Ferryhill finally winning 4-2 on penalties. In the Quarter Final Of the same Cup Newton Aycliffe Wmc were 2-0 winners over Visitors Gilesgate Moor Hotel.

In the Premier Division Houghton Glendale returned to winning ways with a Fine Home 4-1 win over visitors Brandon Bay Horse.Hetton Lyons Cricket Club entertained Langley Park Wmc, Hetton Lyons started the brighter of the two teams but Langley Park took an early lead with a counter attack goal (0-1). Hetton Lyons equalized after 15 mins with a great cross from Ruddy and Daniel Moore headed it in (1-1) 7 mins later and Ruddy once again crossed the ball from the right and Chris Lowther was there to tap it in at the far post (2-1).

Second half and the Lyons started well and on 52 mins got there third goal a free kick from outside the box from Capper and the defender tried to clear it but put it in to his own goal (3-1). Chris Lowther got his second goal 2 mins later with a great strike from 20 yds giving the Langley keeper no chance (4-1). Langley Park got back on the score sheet with a goal after sloppy defending from the Lyons and the striker gave the Lyons keeper no chance (4-2). In the Second Division Chester Plough Inn had a home fixture against Bishop Middleham Cross Keys; however the game had to be switched to the Bishop Middleham as the Ploughs pitch was Waterlogged Bishop Middleham were looking for revenge after their 10-2 defeat to Chester Plough only two weeks prior. At times Both Sides played some lovely football on a very heavy Field the Plough Took the lead after 2 min Chris Cuthbertson fired home from 18 yards out with a well-finished right foot goal, following a through-ball from Joel Baddams. On 11 min the Plough went further ahead when Chris Cuthbertson supplied the corner, and Mark Atchison found the net from six yards out with a speculative headed goal. Bishop Middleham Pulled a Goal Back to make it 2-1 to the Plough. Then 30 min the ball was played up to John Adamson who laid the ball of for his strike partner Joel Baddams to fire the ball in off the post. 5 Mins Later Nathan Baddams supplied the through-ball, and Chris Cuthbertson found the net from just inside the box with a well-finished right footed effort. This Gave the Plough a 4-1 Lead but Two quick Goals just before Half Time from the Cross Keys Made the half time score 4-3 to the Plough Inn. Chester Osborne wmc travelled to coxhoe wmc to play in tricky conditions following the weeks weather.The Osborne took the lead when Wes Hood Volleyed home from 18 yards over the keepers head. Coxhoe replied not long after to make it 1-1 at the interval.

Chris Davison powered up the right hand side and saw his cross converted into the back of the net off the Cox hoe defenders leg. In the Third Division games at Pelaw Grange and Sedgefield Netpark were cancelled due to waterlogged Fields, The Only Game played saw Hamsteels Inn beat visitors Washington Usworth Top Club 6-3.

In the Fourth Division The Bird Inn Lost 3-2 at Ferryhill White Horse, Framwellgate Moor were 3-1 winners over Witton Gilbert Wmc this game would not have been played had it not been for Joe mcquiggan and his lads from Witton Gilbert Wmc, the Framwellgate Moor Pitch was waterlogged, some Hard work from Witton allowed the Game to be transfered to Witton and they made there pitch ready as Framwellgate was not playable it was a fair hard fought game Framwellgate went a goal up after 30 mins through Miller Fletcher after 30 mins 1 0 at half time Fletcher scored again on 46 mins 20 then wit ton got one back 2 1 then after 70 mins sub Nicky Barker from the penalty spot to make it 3 1 , the Ox and Plough Inn crashed to a 6-0 Defeat at Langley Park Rams Head, Quarrington Hill Wmc were 3-2 Home winners Over visitors Durham Garden House.
