In the Fourth Division the Big derby game of the day saw two new Teams to the League Chester le Street Easy Street entertain Chester Le Street Leonard’s. Easy Street battled to victory against a spirited Chester Leonard’s side. Manager Michael Dalkin made two changes to the side with Craig Evans and Chris Cairns coming into the side in place of Liam Wears and Davey Cowan. Looking to build on last weeks win, Easy Street went into the game still top of the table after their point’s deduction. But they didn't show their title winning credentials in the first half and despite taking the lead through Craig Mickle, the table toppers huffed and puffed in midfield as they were at times out fought and out classed by the Leonard’s. Half time couldn't come quick enough and Dalkins half time words seemed to have the desired effect as Easy Street dominated the second half with as impressive display of team passing, especially down the right side with Jak Penny, Damien Baston, David Hope and Mickle himself finding themselves with time on the ball, something that was a real premium in the first half.
But Easy street continued to create chances and the second goal came when Baston lobbed a pinpoint ball over to Allen Robson who controlled and lashed the ball home to break the Leonard’s Resistance.
There was still time for the visitors to get back into the game and almost snatched a consolation after a scramble in the penalty area. But as the referee blew the half time whistle it was another win for Easy Street as they continued their unbeaten start to the season. Washington Colliery Travelled to Langley Park to Play the Rams Head A very, very disappointing result for the Colliery as they crashed to a 7-1 Defeat this against a team who the Colliery drew with only a few weeks ago Considering the game was level at 0-0 at half-time, and the Colliery having what was felt the "better" first half of the two teams, ended up, somehow, comfortably beaten. Collieries Consolation goal came in 55 Min Mark Wallis fired home from 18 yards out with a well-finished right foot goal, following a through-ball from Chris Grier.
