Help needed for Bowburn Crowtrees

The
Bowburn Crowtrees football team who play in the
Durham and District Sunday Morning League are set to
have talks this Sunday at 1pm to discuss their
future.
Bowburn have had football teams since a reported 1908 (100 years) although this is still to be confirmed. The local team have struggled this season for players and have had a large number from outside of the village to keep the club running.
Bowburn Crowtrees will discuss on Sunday whether or not the club will continue.
Bowburn Crowtrees
Chairman, Craig Hill
Ever increasing costs of over £400 per season for the field and other costs, including strips and referee bills, have been paid but the club has presently no sponsor. The committee are also looking for members to help out selling the likes of domino cards and busters .
The main problem this year has not been money (although a sponsor would help) but players. There just does not seem to be the local lads coming through, and although the youth teams should help in a few years as the teams increase it is the present team who are struggling.
If anyone is interested for next season, either by playing sponsoring or just helping out, then please email the club at BOWBURNCROWTREESFC@AOL.COM as soon as possible.
We would like to wish the team all the best and hope something can be sorted on Sunday.
