Taylors 4 stops the Bay Horse

In the Premier Division Burnmoor Cricket Club Travelled to Brandon Bay Horse, The Bay Horse looking to complete the Double over the Cricketers as they were 7-4 winners at Burnmoor at the Start of the season. The Bay Horse took the lead on 5 Mins, But on 25 Mins The Cricketers playing some really good Football levelled the scores , A ball from Tim Bowman led to a goalmouth scramble the Brandon Keeper could not hold on to the Ball . Paul Taylor made no mistake with a textbook right footed finish from close range. Then deservedly  in the 30 Min the Cricketers took the lead  Andy Hall  was brought down in the Bay Horse Box , Paul Taylor stepped up to score Both His second and the Cricketers second. A minute before Half time Some good work from Lee Wright  saw him up ended in the Bay Horse Box another penalty, and with a superb right footed shot Paul Taylor stepped up to score His Hat Trick,

The Cricketers finishing the First Half 3-1  ahead.. In 2nd half, the Bay Horse started the better, but never really created much, a Break from the Cricketers in the 55 Min a well delivered through-ball from Paul Taylor was converted by Tim Bowman. A fine finish with the right foot from close range, This Made the Score 4-1 to Burnmoor, 10 Mins Later The Cricketers added a Further Goal  Andy Halls shot was parried by the Keeper into the Oncoming Paul Taylor who fired in from 6 Yds, The Cricketers were now well in command of the Game, The Hard working Tim Bowman rounded off the scoring in the 80 Min James Pounder  found Bowman some 20 Yds out from the Bay Horse Goal  he Fired I an unstoppable shot to Give Burnmoor their best away win of the season winning 6-1. In the Other Premiership Game Sedgefield st Edmunds were 5-0 home winners over Burnside Wmc.

In the First Division The Games between Esh Winning Cricket Club and Hilda Park was off due to a Waterlogged pitch as was the Game at Northern Area between Washington JFC and Fatfield Biddick Inn.Birtley Board Inn Travelled to Sacriston Wmc but the Home side were the Stronger in a Good Game, Sacriston winning 2-0, Washington Arms continued their climb up the Division One table with a fine win over Lumley FC. The Washington Glebe Welfare pitch despite heavy overnight rain was in good condition. Both teams played attractive football but for most of the time the game was locked in a one one draw. Lumley open the scoring after ten minutes  through a Paul Bainbridge Goal ,but fifteen minutes later gifted the Arms an own-goal equaliser. The Arms took command of the second half but brilliant Lumley defending denied them until the seventy fifth minute when Danny Murray beat the offside trap to make it 2-1. Furious appeals to the referee resulted in Lumley being reduced to ten men for the remainder of the game during which Michael Stubbs makes it 3-1

In the Second Divison Chester Plough lost 2-1 at Home to the The Steelers, The Plough Taking the Lead After 15 Mins a Defence splitting Ball from John Forster found Dan Hill who rounded the Steelers Keeper to score, The Steelers Levelled almost immediately, and in the last 3 Mins the Steelers Pinched the Game to win 2-1.  And the Games at Coxhoe, Sedgefield Black Lion and Ushaw Moor Cricket Club were all off due to Waterlogged Pitches.

In the Third Division Low Fell Gold Medal were 5-3 Home winners over Visitors Ferryhill Dynamo’s, Washington Usworth Top Club were 2-1 Home winners Over Bowburn Cooperage, the Game at Pelaw Grange Dogs and Framwellgate Moor Salutation was off due to a waterlogged Pitch.

In the Fourth Division High Handenhold Bird Inn recorded their Highest win with a 9- 0 home win over Chester Leonards.Nevilles Cross Social returned to winning ways with a 3-2 Home win over Ferryhill White Horse, The Games at Garden House home to Witton Gilbert Wmc and Kelloe Davy Lamp at Home to Washington Colliery were Both Off due to the weather.Quarrington Hill wmc were 5-1 Winners at Oxclose Ox and Plough Inn.

In the Deerness Driveways Trophy 2nd Round Chester Osborne made their way into the next round of the cup with an excellent first half display at Bishop Middleham Cross Keys. Chris Winn scoring his brace in the first twenty minutes, then Wes Hood found Paul Botcherny with a twenty yard ball and botch calmly made it 3-0 before the break.Bishop Middleham came out and made a good start after the break scoring straight away but the Osborne pressed and Andrew Willcock scored soon after whilst spinning around on the goal line, With ten minutes left David Long was in the right place to convert a ball across the goalmouth. Score 5-1to the Osborne. The Game at Lambton Village against Chester Easy Street was of due to the waterlogged Pitch.

In the Ramside Hall Hotel Cup Winners Cup Houghton Mill All stars lost 3-0 at Gilesgate Moor Hotel. The Game at Newton Aycliffe wmc was postponed.

In the Spennymoor Town Sponsored League Cup Kelloe Wmc were 4-1 Winners at Fellow Premiership side Houghton Glendale, Chilton Wmc lost 2-0 at Hetton Social. The Game at Ferryhill Wmc was postponed.

In the First Round of the D and P Trophy Washington Victoria Travelled to Premier League side Langley Park Wmc the Victoria were Missing Paul Kindon, Liam Sherriff, Darren Stanley, Steven Douglas, Richie Lowthian. With only one recognised striker available, Steven Naisbett was picked to partner Mark Liddle up front. In the 1st half the Vic were the better team and in a spell of 20 minutes Hitting the bar and post three times apiece. The opener came for Langley Park Wmc after a long ball overcame the Offside trap, the Langley striker nipped in to score. Ryan Mason levelled the scores with a close range effort 5 Mins Later to make the score 1-1. In the Next 20 Minutes Langley Park Wmc scored two more, again on the counter attack, the long ball catching the Vic out again. The Vic did have the Ball in the Net, Steven Naisbett who tucked it away, but the ref blew for offside,. Langley Park Wmc were on top in the second 45 and added another two, their last should have been a routine catch for our keeper but he instead tried to punch it and missed, leaving the striker with another easy tap in. The Final Score Langley Park Wmc 5-1 Washington Victoria .

In the Durham County Football Association Sunday Cup Pelton ROAB Lost at Darlington All Stars.
Hetton Lyons Cricket Clubs Game in the Football Association Sunday Cup against Liverpool side was cancelled.
